2 How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:
- To register your Device and issue your Revalo Buyback Assurance Certificate.
- To verify lawful ownership and ensure the Device has not been reported lost, stolen, or blacklisted.
- To coordinate device inspections, evaluate condition against our deduction matrix, and process buyback claims.
- To disburse approved buyback payments to your designated payment method.
- To prevent fraud, unauthorized transactions, and misrepresentation.
- To communicate with you regarding your enrollment, certificate validity, updates, or customer support queries.
- To comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and statutory obligations.
3 Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share your information only where strictly necessary to provide the Program or comply with the law:
- Authorized Partners & Dealers: We share necessary details with authorized dealers, inspection partners, and logistics providers to verify device conditions, facilitate pickups, and complete buyback transactions.

4 Data Security & Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, maintain records for valid Buyback Assurance Certificates, and resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
5 Customer Responsibilities Regarding Personal Data
As outlined in our Terms & Conditions, Revalo is not responsible for any personal data, media, files, or applications left on a Device when it is handed over for buyback. Prior to handing over your Device, you must:
- Perform a complete backup of your personal data.
- Remove and wipe all personal data, photos, messages, and files.
- Sign out of all cloud accounts (including Apple ID, Google Account, or Samsung Cloud).
- Disable all screen locks, passwords, and biometric security features.
- Turn off activation locks (such as Find My iPhone or Factory Reset Protection/FRP).
Once a Device is handed over to Revalo or our authorized partners, it will undergo a complete factory reset, and any residual data cannot be recovered.
6 Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable Indian data protection regulations, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Withdraw consent for data processing (note that withdrawing consent may result in the cancellation of your enrollment and forfeiture of buyback assurance benefits).
